Drone Projects & Curriculum
AOPA UAS Operations AOPA provides a very detailed high school aviation STEM curriculum. In order to use it, you need to go through their professional development. I haven’t seen the curriculum first-hand, but AOPA is highly-regarded in the aviation community. The PD is free since they’ve been able to establish a foundation for donations.
Drone Blocks (affiliate link) – A few different modules you can complete to learn more about drone programming. I’ve written a summary here of what Drone Blocks has for drone programming projects.
Hackster.io – Lots of ideas for projects to build and code your drone. Type in “drone” and whatever hardware you have and projects other people have posted will come up in the search results!
Development of a 4th-8th Grade Curriculum for Flying and Programming Mini Drones – An article I found a while back with some good middle school ideas. Includes some worksheets as well.
